Dino Crisis should to be the focus of Capcom's next remake.

Although Capcom is still riding high on the popularity of the Resident Evil 4 remake, the company's next remake shouldn't be a Resident Evil game at all. Instead, it should be a different type of video game.

Dino Crisis should to be the focus of Capcom's next remake.

Even though Capcom has had a lot of success with its remakes of the Resident Evil games, the company should try its hand at Dino Crisis for its next remake. For the past few decades, Capcom has been continuously reworking its games, frequently releasing them to widespread critical acclaim as well as high sales. The Resident Evil series in particular has been remade multiple times by Capcom, beginning with the first Resident Evil remake, which was an exclusive release for the GameCube and was released in the year 2002.

The original game's scariness was amped up, additional plot content was included, and the graphics were substantially improved in the Resident Evil remake. As a result, many people consider it to be one of the best remakes that has ever been created. After 17 years, Capcom finally released the long-awaited remake of Resident Evil 2, which was then followed by remakes of Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 4. Resident Evil 5 is currently under development by Capcom. The recreation of Resident Evil 3 caused some controversy, but the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4 have received acclaim, which has created a demand for Capcom to recreate even more of their iconic RE games.

There is a significant amount of interest in seeing Resident Evil Code: Veronica remade by Capcom in the near future; yet, some people would prefer see Resident Evil 5 remade. Since Capcom has not officially divulged any intentions for their future remake game, it is currently unknown when the company intends to release one. However, there are rumours that Capcom is producing Resident Evil 9 next, which means that it will likely be several years before fans find out any other information. Regardless, it's possible that Capcom will decide to put the Resident Evil remakes on hold for the time being in order to focus more attention on the upcoming Dino Crisis game.

The Reasons Why Capcom Needs to Remake Dino Crisis Next

The Reasons Why Capcom Needs to Remake Dino Crisis Next

Dino Crisis is a survival horror video game that was directed by Shinji Mikami, the creator of the Resident Evil series of video games. For those who aren't aware with the game, Dino Crisis centres on dinosaurs. The original Dino Crisis game was introduced to the public in 1999, and its gameplay is strikingly similar to that of Capcom's Resident Evil series, with the exception that dinosaurs take the place of zombies. Dino Crisis is regarded as one of the best survival horror games available for the PlayStation 1, and it adds its own unique twist to the puzzles and narrative structure of games like Resident Evil.

The approach that Dino Crisis 2 chose, which was somewhat more action-oriented compared to the original game, has made it somewhat more contentious among fans of the series. The third installment of the Dino Crisis series, however, is almost universally reviled. The third chapter of the Dino Crisis series saw the series totally depart from its survival-horror roots and transform into a futuristic sci-fi shooter game with a problematic camera. This marked a complete departure from the series' original survival-horror foundations. Since then, the Dino Crisis franchise has been put on indefinite hiatus; nonetheless, there is no reason why Capcom couldn't revive it in the same way that it has successfully remade the Resident Evil games in recent years.

It is not possible to play the majority of the games in the Dino Crisis franchise on modern platforms, in contrast to the majority of the Resident Evil franchise. The original version of Dino Crisis was only available for a limited time on the PlayStation 1, after which it was ported to the personal computer and the Dreamcast; however, it has never been made available again. Fans will not only get the opportunity to relive the Dino Crisis experience through a modern remake, but the game would also be updated to meet today's expectations. Imagine the degree of refinement found in the Resident Evil 2 remake, but with the plot and location from Dino Crisis.

And if there were to be a remake of Dino Crisis, and that remake was to be sufficiently successful, then perhaps it would be the impetus that brought the franchise back in full force. After that, there might be a remake of Dino Crisis 2, and then after that, Capcom might decide to skip Dino Crisis 3 and start the franchise over from scratch.

In the past, there have been rumours that Dino Crisis would be remade into another game, but such rumours have not led to anything concrete. Leaks suggest that Blue Castle Games, also known as Capcom Vancouver, had been working on a Dino Crisis remake or new Dino Crisis game at one point in the past, but the project appears to have been abandoned. Since then, Capcom Vancouver has been closed down, which dashes any further hopes that the abandoned project related to Dino Crisis, whatever it may have been, will ever be made available to the general public.

However, it appears like Capcom is aware of the clamour from fans for a new installment in the Dino Crisis franchise. When promoting its next game Exoprimal, Capcom employed a character that has a visual similarity to Regina, the protagonist of Dino Crisis. This move infuriated some fans, who believed that Capcom had employed a bait-and-switch strategy in order to build more interest in their Exoprimal game, but perhaps the controversy that occurred online demonstrated to the firm that fans are eager for more Dino Crisis adventures to come out in the future.

The Dino Crisis franchise has not been revived to this day, and there are no current indications that this will change in the foreseeable future. The most likely outcome is that the next remake to be released by Capcom will be another installment in the Resident Evil franchise, either Code: Veronica or Resident Evil 5. In the meantime, there is a good chance that Capcom may unveil additional material for the remade version of Resident Evil 4 in the near future. After all, the campaigns known as "Assignment Ada" and "Separate Ways" are still absent from the game, and there are some characters that players would like seeing make an appearance in "The Mercenaries" mode at some time in the future.
